I’m absolutely in! I might also use this as a reason to replay “Red Dead Redemption 2” 😏

Lonesome Dove is so good that I actually used it as a theme for the commencement speech I gave at our local high school last weekend. I used Jake Spoon as an example of what NOT to do (though I skipped past the part about being hanged)

Many people, young and old, came up afterwards to say that they were inspired to read it this summer!

Sounds like a great excuse to re-read it! In!

You inspired me to read it last year, and it did not disappoint.

I have not read it yet, but I have made the mistake of reading the foreword. You win some; you lose some. Brett, looking forward to reading it with you and everyone!

I'm in! Funnily enough, I just started reading Lonesome Dove last week. The first few chapters have blown me away with the depth of character and humor. I'll pause so I can join the group when it starts on May 30th

My favorite too. This'll be my third time to read. Great idea!

Amazing. The ex libris and your series on making your living online made me wistful for late 2000s/early 2010s Internet, now this which brings me back to the $1 AoM book club. I will be enjoying following the discussion...but I really want to finish War and Peace this year. I'll be on the Eastern Front cheering you fellas on!

I'm climbing up into this saddle. I've been on this ride a few times before and I can't wait to do it with friends.

I have the book sitting on my shelf, unread.

Count me in. It is time...

Oh, it’s definitely on. Time to re read this one. I last read a good chunk of it in my hammock on the Chippewa Flowage in WI 3 summers ago. New hammock, new cabin, new reading group. Like George Costanza said to Tony, “I’m down, I am totally down, mark me down.”
